I've added three items to the left column:
- A link to the military casualty count maintained by lunaville.org based on this methodology;
- [Update: Just a link to, see comments for details] A chart of civilian casualties provided by iraqbodycount.org based on this methodology;
- A dollar estimate of the cost of the war to the US from costofwar.com based on this methodology;
I have not personally checked these numbers, but they all look as if they are serious attempts to provide meaningful estimates [and in the case of the military data, a simple tally] of very gloomy data sets.
Umm… It’s hard to read your left side bar on IE now because the “Civilian Deaths” scrolls over everything…

What version, platform and OS please? (I checked under win 98 with 5.5 and it seemed fine)
OK, I reproduced that horrible effect on IE6 under win xp pro. Until and unless they fix it, I’ve changed the ugly graphic to a mere link.
