Hey Brad, maybe that should be our next collaborative project (after the one I already suggested we do this summer…)? I have ideas floating around about how you organize efficient state ownership of (some) things.
You might want to look back at my post, linked to by Brad, which ends on much the same point. I’m certainly planning an article along the broad lines you indicate though, as I said, the fact that this disconnect is problematic for capitalism doesn’t necessarily mean it’s favorable to traditional forms of socialism.
