The conditions of the camps where Katrina’s victims are being herded is, or should be, a matter of pressing concern.
I am trying to post several links that I have including the Above Top Secrets.com with photos of FEMA Detention Camp in Oklahoma. I post on AOL boards as a neutral site, SmirkingChimp.com and Democratic Underground and wish that there was more response to pressure the newly awakened media to investigate. I have also emailed Brian Williams, Anderson Cooper, Shep Smith, Geraldo Rivera but have had no response and the online articles by Williams and Cooper mention the police and military presence but haven’t yet mentioned the Blackwater mercenaries. Keep posting this info on many sites and try to get http://www.Congress.org your Reps and the media to investigate and the Blogosphere to keep the pressure on the media and Congress.

Im extremely depressed to report that things seem to only be getting sadder concerning the people so devastatingly affected by Katrina last week.

Refugees from New Orleans behind barbed wire in Utah

Utah’s Governor Jon Huntsman has taken in some of the New Orleans refugees, at Camp Williams. Replete with barbed wire, armed soldiers with weapons at ready, police and sheriff with weapons at ready, and hell, they must surely feel right at home. In America yet. What bulls**t! Im not done with this outrage, not by a long shot. Im actually just getting started.
Denver Post even used this phrase about what is happening to the NOLA Detainees:

Here we go again.
The other day, I wrote about Katrina evacuees being taken to Utah with no prior knowledge of their destination, and that they were reportedly being kept behind barbed wire…….
And then there is that report I have noted in recent days of the 1,000 evacuees flown to Roosevelt Roads naval base on Puerto Rico’s eastern tip. What of them?
Please send questions to http://www.Congress.org/ and media: Why are Evacuees Being Sent to Puerto Rico Against Their Will? The Katrina Evacuees are being treated like POWs behind fences, not allowed to leave with heavy military guard.

…..FEMA is refusing to reveal to aid groups the locations of thousands of citizens forced out of their homes by “Hurricane Charley,” citing “privacy restrictions.”

Some elderly citizens forced out of their homes by Hurricane Charley are missing out on vital help, including meals, transportation and in-home care, because federal officials won’t tell government aid groups where they are.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has temporarily relocated thousands of Charlotte County residents — many of them senior citizens — whose homes were destroyed or seriously damaged by the Aug. 13 storm. But, citing federal privacy protection rules, the agency has refused to say who has been relocated, or where they’ve been sent.
Travis and other officials said their complaints to FEMA officials have gone nowhere. But in response to an inquiry about the problem Tuesday, FEMA deputy federal coordinating officer Brad Gair vowed to find a way to ensure hurricane victims’ privacy while getting them access to services.

I mentioned the word impeachment on the House Floor Thursday late afternoon, but I dont see it in the official Congressional Record transcript. I was chided by the Speaker that it was out of order to question the Presidents motives. I didnt question motives, I questioned actions: from lack of actions on Katrina to cutting the budget of safety net programs, to rewarding the rich to the detriment of all the rest of us. This transcript directly from the Congressional Record is mangled and omits that word!!!! I cant believe this…..he title of the article was “Reagan Aides and the Secret Government,
