Belated McCain Bashing

I was busy on Friday, but here's the DNC's anti-McCain ad.

It's a good one.

Hope they run it everywhere and often.

PS. And it's fair, too

    Hi there,

I read your blog and think you’re a good writer. I’d like to invite you to join our new online community at polzoo.com. We are a user generated political editorial and social network. You can write blogs, participate in forums, build a profile and link up with other members.

We also choose from amongst our own writers to feature on the front page. You can also advertise your blog on our blogroll and exchange links. I think your voice would be a great addition to our site.

  2. Why do they just put “4,000 dead”? That’s American dead. The lowball estimate of Iraqi dead, from the Health Ministry, is 400,000. Other professional estimates are twice that.

I would like to invite you to comment on Al Jazeera as well. Your relentless bashing of the Great Satan America and all things American is truly praiseworthy. When the new era of Allah is ushered in, you will surely be one of the privileged. Your Mother was right, you are a very good person. Very good.

I have nothing to say about Al Jazeera since I never watch it and indeed don’t have a TV capable of getting it.

More generally, I believe that Saul Alinsky’s saying “you start where you are” is in most cases pretty good advice. Thus, being a citizen of Florida, and the of the USA, I have more to say about them than I do about other places. Which is not to say, as an inhabitant of the Earth, I renounce any interest in what happens elsewhere or any right to comment on it, just that I choose to concentrate my energies on things I know best and have the greatest chance of actually influencing, however small that might be.

But I invite you to create your own blog to address Al Jazeera, or whatever you think merits your time and attention.

Lest there be any misunderstanding, however, I think that equating McCain with “all things American” does a grave insult to America, which is much better than McCain.

I think trying to shout down all ‘bashing’, which really means legitimate criticism, is reprehensible.
